One of our objectives is for our programmes to be a learning journey for both the IDs we serve and the volunteers. It is in this spirit of learning that we refer to our clients as “trainees” and not IDs.
To facilitate the learning process, our trainees are divided into 3 groups:
Group A
~ adult trainees (above 18) who are typically working in Employment Development Centres (EDC) or other establishments
~ activities are orientated to improving social, arts & crafts and public performance skills
Group B
~ adult trainees (above 18) who have higher support needs
~ activities are orientated to improving motor, independent life and social skills
Group C
~ children below 18, who are attending special education schools.
~ activities are orientated to improving social, motor and independent life skills
Our regular Sunday projects take on the following format
230pm Welcome & Sing-a-long
300pm Group activities
400pm Physical Education
430pm Tea Break
500pm End
We occasionally have project, inter-project and also MINDS MYG-level outings and activities that may replace our regular Sunday programmes. Please refer to our events page for the latest update.
