On the 20 th of June, we went on a sponsored outing by Apple Company to the Escape theme park. Two volunteers from Westend, Jason and Chee Hoon, also joined us. Each of the Ang Mo Kio project trainees had his/her own volunteers with him/her, as well as a staff member from Apple Company.

Even though this was not the first time that Apple organized an outing for the AMK trainees, it nonetheless provided us a chance to share our volunteering experiences with the Apple staff and enabled them to gain a better understanding of the needs of the intellectually disabled trainees.

The outing allowed us to see the courageous side of the trainees. Some did not even bat an eyelid when they took the intimidating rides that even some volunteers dared not try. Overall, everyone, including me, who went enjoyed ourselves and we definitely hope for more exciting outings in the future!
