| Plans for 2008/2009 |
The integration programme is executed at 2 levels - Individual & Group. At Individual level, lessons are conducted in-groups of 2 to 3. There are total 8 IP groups after reshuffling this year. With equal members and volunteers in each group, attached volunteers are called to impart the knowledge and skills necessary to improve the members' survival in the society. Volunteers are required to form rapport with their members, assess their needs and design lessons for them. In this financial year, IP would be having different theme each month, for example vocabulary building, money concept, hygiene, courtesy, etc. The members shall then get together to have a mass IP lesson at the end of the month for the particular theme. Our mini library was built by the IP team last year to encourage reading habit.
Purposes of IP Grouping are:
At RO level, mass classes are instigated regularly by the various IP group to break the monotony of group lessons. Concepts conveyed are deemed the "essentials" for all to know such as safety, moral education, communication, talentine etc. Topics relating to IP: Independent Living - Reading/writing Work Associated - Punctuality Communication - Basic communication
