Who we are?

MINDS MYG, formerly known as MINDS Youth Group, is the subsidiary volunteer wing of the Movement of the Intellectually Disabled of Singapore (MINDS).  MYG aspires to achieve social integration for Persons With Intellectual Disability (PWIDs), and to enrich their lives through providing meaningful programmes and delivering quality services.

MYG comprises 8 different Projects and 2 autonomous Projects, operating in different parts of Singapore, each catering to different profiles of PWIDs with different needs.  On top of regular Project sessions, MYG also organizes major events in which all 8 Projects participate in as a whole, such as the Annual Camp for the Intellectually Disabled (ACID), MYG Sports Day and MYG Family Day.  In total, MYG serves more than 200 PWIDs, ranging from children to adults, low-support PWIDs to high-support PWIDs.

MYG is managed and run entirely by a big group of more than 200 dedicated volunteers, who make time to help PWIDs during weekly Project sessions and plan beneficial programmes to aid in their development.

MINDS MYG is a member of the National Council of Social Services (NCSS) and is supported by the Community Chest.
