MYG Annual General Meeting cum Appreciation Evening 
27th March 2010, 5-8pm

MYG AGM 2010 was held at The Mind Cafe, Funan Digital Mall, making a refreshing break from the usual venue at MINDS MYG HQ.

The event marks the change of a new committee and review of MYG for the current financial year.

MYG Sports Day 2010

Finally...the date for our Sports Day has been confirmed to be 6th November 2010!
It will be held at Raffles Institution (1 Raffles Institution Lane 575954).

Sports Day 2010 aims to improve the confidence and self-esteem of our trainees through their participation in sports and games.  No matter what their function level is, they will still be given an opportunity to compete fairly amongst others of the same ability and every athlete will get either a medal or a participation ribbon. 

Project ID 2010

Event: Project ID 2010
Date: Sunday, 15 August 2010
Time: 11am - 5pm
Venue: National Library (100 Victoria Street)

For the 5th consecutive year, Project IDentity is back again! A photography competition would be ongoing from now til 25th July 2010, culminating with a carnival and a photography exhibition at the National Library on 15th August 2010. The main objective of Project IDentity 2010 is to educate the public on Intellectual Disability through the art of photography.

We hope that participants of the competition will be able to know more about the Intellectually Disabled (IDs) through their involvement in the competition, as well as, do a part for the community by educating and informing the public through their submissions. Top photo The winning entry from each category will also be printed on ZOcards and distributed islandwide.

This is an annual event organised by RSPID to raise awareness for PWIDs.

Sports@Public Libraries - A Disability Showcase

A Disability Showcase
Date: Saturday, 3 July 2010
Time: 10.00am to 3.00pm
Venue: Woodlands Regional Library

National Library Board (NLB) and Special Olympics (SO) Singapore cordially invite you and your family to attend a Disabilities Sports Showcase that is especially designed as an effort to reach out to members of public and to persons with special needs and their families. The aim is to educate the Special Needs community on the resources available for use.

Additionally, Special Olympics sports will also be showcase to educate members of public and for you and your child to have a hands-on experience.

The highlight of the event will be the following:

  • Disability Sports & Library Services Quizzes with attractive lucky draw prizes
  • Library Services & Programmes for Persons with Disabilities
  • Premium membership drive on inclusiveness for Persons with Disabilities (up to 8 items to be borrowed)
